MUSUMLANES MEXICANOS
La comunidad musulmana está ampliamente distribuida por distintas partes del planeta, a pesar de encontrarse aislado del mundo árabe México también posee un numero creciente de practicantes del Islam.
Hay hombres y mujeres que se han convertido al islamismo, después de vivir treinta o cuarenta años bajo las normas del catolicismo, al cambiar de religión adoptan nombres musulmanes y hacen lo mismo con sus hijos e hijas. Sin embargo el cambio radical en la forma de vivir, no representa problema, la verdadera batalla la libran día a día en las calles de la ciudad, donde reciben insultos verbales y acoso, pues las mujeres deben utilizar un hiyab cuando están en público, al igual que las niñas quienes suelen recibir bulling en sus escuelas.
La comunidad musulmana de la Ciudad de México se congrega en una papelería de la colonia Buenavista, despliegan una alfombra de oración sobre el piso, frente al mostrador de la tienda antes de realizar su ritual del salat y bajan la cortina metálica de la tienda, para transformarla en su templo.

The Muslim community is widely distributed in different parts of the planet, despite being isolated from the Arab world, Mexico also has a growing number of Islamism practitioners.
There are men and women who have converted to Islam, after living thirty or forty years under the norms of Catholicism, when they change their religion they adopt Muslim names and do the same with their sons and daughters. However, the radical change in the way of living is not a problem, the real battle is fought day by day in the streets of the city, where they receive verbal insults and harassment, because women must wear a hijab when they are in public, just as than girls who are often bullied in their schools.
The Muslim community of Mexico City congregates in a stationery store in the Buenavista neighborhood, unfolds a prayer mat on the floor, in front of the store's counter before performing their ritual of salat and closes the metal curtain of the store, to transform it into a temple.
