COLECTOR 13
Es un campamento para damnificados por el terremoto del 19 de Septiembre de 1985, el sismo de 8.1 de magnitud dejó sin hogar a miles de personas en la Ciudad de México. En un principio Colector 13 fue pensado como refugio temporal para familias que perdieron su patrimonio.
Algunas personas tienen más de 30 años habitando esta colonia, con callejuelas y casas de lámina de metal pintado. Las generaciones de Colector 13 se siguen acumulando, 6 administraciones de gobierno han pasado y las víctimas del terremoto aun viven aquí, algunos con sus hijos, otras con sus nietas.
Ninguna de las casas tiene drenaje propio, por lo que comparten baños comunitarios y lavabos. Durante el paso de 32 años, muchos damnificados del sismo han muerto esperando un hogar más digno, sus descendientes heredan una promesa que el gobierno sigue sin cumplir.
Estas fotos fueron tomadas en Octubre de 2017, un mes antes de que un nuevo terremoto sacudiera la CDMX.

COLLECTOR 13
It is a camp for victims of the earthquake of September 19, 1985, the 8.1 magnitude earthquake left thousands of people homeless in Mexico City. At first Colector 13 was intended as a temporary refuge for families who lost their houses.
Some people have lived in this neighborhood for more than 30 years, with alleys and homes made of painted metal sheet. The generations of Collector 13 continue to accumulate, 6 government administrations have passed and the victims of the earthquake still live here, some with their children, others with their granddaughters.
None of the houses have their own drainage, so they share communal bathrooms and sinks. During the passage of 32 years, many earthquake victims have died waiting for a more dignified home, their descendants inheriting a promise that the government still does not fulfill.
These photos were taken in October 2017, a month before a new earthquake struck CDMX.
